Invisible Management: The Social Construction of Leadership
Smart Strategies Series Invisible Management presents eleven empirical investigations into managerial leadership based on the frame of reference called social constructionism. The theoretical conclusions from these disclose a range of previously concealed aspects of management and leadership, which aim to inspire the practitioner and challenge the theoretician. Invisible Management follows the theme that managerial leadership is an interactional phenomenon, that managers are regarded as one of several important constructors and practitioners of organizational leadership, rather than exclusive helmsmen. The novel approach of Invisible Management revises the agenda for the discourse on management and leadership as currently conducted among academics and practitioners. It introduces three ingredients that are not widely recognised in existing research. These are, small talk, 'invisible' or unrecognised arenas and institutional dynamics. These three themes have been brought together in a deliberate attempt to rethink and reformulate both strategic management and (managerial) leadership
First read the box below this one. This box answers your next question about transferring.
Basically it goes like this, but I put a video below. Open up your refworks account in one tab
In another tab go to the URL [web address] of the shared folder ..
P.S. Where are your SHARED folders ? In the box related to the search we did .. see two boxes down.. In Red at the top of the box is the refshare link
Also.. I have a Refshare for all the residency readings ..
click the shared folder
it appears in your Refworks account with a little guy popping out of the folder icon. That is READ ONLY .. you are looking into my shared folder
Now click Select ALL button at the top of the RECORDS
Now Click SAVE .. all the records transfer into your Refworks .. LaST IMPORTED FOLDER..
LAST IMPORTED is just that so you have to then transfer all the records in Last Imported into a permanent folder
So click NEW FOLDER .. name it ..e .g. Keene Residency Readings 2013
and transfer all the records to your folder . now they are yours to do with what you will.
See video..
----------
So to get from a folder I am sharing to transferring the record into your own account you need to start with the URL or address of the shared folder
When you click that you are in the SHARED folder, but it is READ ONLY. Now what you want to do is transfer the citations from the shared folder to your personal folder so you can edit the records, move them around, delete them .. whatever. So they are your own to do with what you want.
Here are your shared folder links
The shared folders that I make specifically for you when we search together. are on your SEARCHES with DEb page in the box for that search. So looking down two boxes you will see in RED Letters at the top a link
Here is the same link REFSHARE for CONSUMER
Then there are the Refshares for the Residency readings which I put on the readings list but also store here . http://libguides.phd.antioch.edu/residencyrefshares
Some of the professors have readings lists for methodologies etc. as well . but start with these for now.
I hope i answered your questions .. But we can have an appointment if not.
The Refworks Tech Support are incredibly helpful and actually answer the phone when you call them !!! They are the best in the tech support world I think, so if you really cannot get the install to work, don't forget them. It could be a security blocker at your end on installing programs.
Have fun ! Deb
Deb Writes: Lloyd . .I put the Youtube video on installing Write n Cite here. There are several more videos on using write n cite on the refworks You tube channel http://www.youtube.com/user/ProQuestRefWorks . Just go to the You TUBE links and type - write n cite - in the search box and they all pop up.
What is Searches with Deb?"
